Solar Interactive

Fire coronal mass ejections (CMEs) at the planets in our solar system to see what impacts they have on planetary magnetic fields and atmospheres.

Special Feature: Solar Interactive can be paired with Aurora Interactive—when a CME hits the Earth in Solar Interactive, the aurora gets powered-up in Aurora Interactive.

Educational Content: The sun produces flares, charged particles stream out into our solar system, planets have magnetic fields of different strength, some planets don't have an appreciable magnetic field.

Game Play: A Kinect tracks your arm motion as you aim at the planets to see what effect the solar flares have. When used with the optional "Experience the Aurora" (Aurora 2) software, when Earth is hit, the aurora increases in intensity and colors change to red.
